Apply for a Director Credential
Are you interested in pursuing a Director Credential approved by the Child Day Care Administrator’s Credential Program of Texas Health and Human Services – Child Care Regulation?
Requirements
Before getting started, please be aware that all applicants must meet these initial requirements:
- You must be at least 21 years of age when you submit your application.
- You must hold a high school diploma or an equivalent such as a GED.
- You must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a licensed early childhood program.
Applicants will be asked to provide:
- The results from your most recent background check
- A current copy of a CPR / First Aid training certificate
- Texas Early Childhood Professional Development System identification (TECPDS ID) number to ensure all training certificates and awards are uploaded accurately and can be verified if needed. If you do not have a TECPDS ID, please click the link provided (https://public.tecpds.org/) and follow the steps to create your TECPDS account and receive an identification number.
All applications will be reviewed for completeness and accuracy. A response will be sent to each applicant within two weeks of receiving a completed application.
