Child Care Director Credential
Texas A&M AgriLife Extension’s Promoting Early Education Quality (PEEQ) program offers a Director Credential approved by the Child Day Care Administrator’s Credential Program of Texas Health and Human Services – Child Care Regulation.
Training Program Highlights:
- Self-paced online courses allow each participant the flexibility needed to complete the program
- 10 online courses that are 6 hours each for a total of 60 clock hours of content which support various roles and duties of a child care director
- A participant guide that offers resources to support each online course and submitted assignments
- Participants have one calendar year to complete all the course requirements
- Promoting Early Education Quality program and AgriLife Learn Helpdesk staff available for questions and to provide support as needed
- The total cost for the training program is only $400 with no application fee.
How does this program work?
When an application is approved, the participant is notified via email of their acceptance into the training program. A link to the coursework is included with detailed instructions on how to purchase the online courses.
Once the courses are purchased, the participant will have access to all ten – six-hour asynchronous courses covering the required child development, health and safety, and management content required by Texas Child Care Regulation. There are also two assignments that a candidate must submit for review.
Each course and the associated submitted assignments should take approximately six hours to complete for a total of 60 clock hours.
